We caught up with Parisa, the talk of the town, the styling wizard and the all round lovely human that is BADKIDHQ. From where the name came from to what she does in her spare time and everything in between. It was an absolute pleasure. She has been on our radar for a while seeing her in some Elsie and Fred pieces and so we slid in her DMs and asked her if she would be keen to shoot our new collection: Me, Myself & I. Parisa obliged and we were bloody thrilled. Go and check her out if you haven't already seen her on the gram!

a Love letter to women of colour
I AM ME - A love letter to women of colour ❤️ This was a special project that took an army to put together during lockdown. Mum’s became photographers sheets were pulled from beds for makeshift backdrops and tears were shed in a feeling of responsibility. It is hard to formulate a sense of identity and self worth when growing up when you look around and there is an absence of anyone who looks like you, sounds like you or has experiences like yours. In 1960 There was an absence in the representation of women of colour in mainstream media In 1980 There was an absence in the representation of women of colour in mainstream media In 2000 There was an absence in the representation of women of colour in mainstream media In 2020 There was an absence in the representation of women of colour in mainstream media I AM ME - is a celebration of resistance and resilience I AM ME - is a reminder that YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH ❤️ We hope you enjoy it. We hope you share it for the world to see beauty shining through. Thank you to EVERYONE involved!
